Many plumbers use a Google Form as a simple job intake form. Here's how to connect it to Gmail:
TRIGGER: Google Forms — "New Response in Spreadsheet"
ACTION: Gmail — "Send Email"
Setup:
- Create a Google Form with fields: Customer Name, Phone, Address, Problem Description
- In Zapier, connect Google Forms (link to your spreadsheet)
- Map the fields: To = {{Email}}, Subject = "Your appointment is confirmed — [Business Name]", Body = "Hi {{Name}}, thanks for reaching out! We've received your request and will call you within 2 hours to confirm your appointment time. Your address: {{Address}}. Problem: {{Problem}}. — [Your Name]"
- Test it by submitting a test form

Setup:
- Create a Google Sheet called "Completed Jobs" with columns: Customer Name, Email, Date, Job Type
